I learned it the hard way, so you don’t have to.
I started bowhunting about 10 years ago. My arrows weren’t penetrating the way they should, and their flight was inconsistent. I didn’t know why.
As an engineer, I started to see the bow, the arrow and the shooter as one system. So I went into research mode: spine, weight, FOC, broadheads, tuning. One variable at a time.
My arrow flight tightened up, my penetration improved, and my success rate went up considerably.
What took me years of frustration, sweat and disappointment, I’ve organized into a clear path you can follow.
One system. Three parts.
Buying new gear isn’t always the answer. Real results come from understanding how these three work together.
The Shooter
Draw length, grip and form. How you fit the bow affects every arrow you release.
The Bow
Draw weight, cams, timing, cam lean and rest. The engine that drives your arrow.
The Arrow
Spine, length, total weight, FOC and broadhead. The part that has to do the work on impact.
